Your data stays on your device
Candlelit stores all of your data locally on your device. We don't have servers that hold your information. Your celebrations, dates, and preferences live on your iPhone and nowhere else.
iCloud sync
If you use iCloud sync, your data is stored in your own iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. We never see, access, or process your synced data. It travels directly between your devices through Apple's infrastructure.
Calendar access
Candlelit may request access to your calendar. This is only used to create events that you explicitly ask for — like a reminder for an upcoming birthday. We never read or scan your existing calendar events.
Photo access
If you attach a photo to a celebration, Candlelit requests access to your photo library. Selected photos are stored locally on your device. We don't upload, analyze, or access your photos in any way.
No tracking, no analytics, no ads
Candlelit does not collect any usage data, analytics, or telemetry. There are no user accounts, no tracking pixels, no third-party SDKs, and no advertising. We don't know who you are or how you use the app.
In-app purchases
Candlelit Pro is available as an in-app purchase processed entirely by Apple. We never see or handle your payment information.
